The company is built on strong intellectual foundations; it turns thought leadership into implementation impact. At its core is the management discipline developed by the well-known scholar and entrepreneur, Fernando Flores, whose work on process transformation is both highly influential and highly impactful. I have drawn on it in my own books, consulting and teaching. It is very powerful in its conceptions and tools. Paradigma stands out for me as the company that has most effectively applied Flores’ work. It also stands out for me in how it has synthesized, adapted and applied my own work on business process transformation. I find it respectful of ideas and very practical in applying ideas.
It also has a very good sense of business as viewed from the Executive suite and Boardroom. This has made it the trusted advisor to a number of large companies. Terms that I would use to describe its style here are shrewd, respectful, candid, sensible and innovative. One of its strengths is to move from the Executive “helicopter” view to the realities of “in the trenches” operations. It thus translates top level supply chain management strategy into the detailed “loops” of SCM processes.
My own mode of work in helping my clients in their business innovation is to focus only on what I do well and bring in partners to extend and complement my capabilities. I am not a believer in the can-do-everything consulting firm. I also know that in the end every business innovation rests on process transformation. I thus have a list of people and companies that I refer my clients to and bring in to my own engagements in order to ensure most value to them. Looking back over my forty years of work, I’d place Paradigma in the top five of my partner list.
